The Llewelyn-Adams family visited us in July. Great to see them. Here's the group shot we took.

We visited a lot of places... this was at a campsite near Cherryville. I've put a lot of pictures up in an album here, and I won't repost them here, but you can go look see if you wish.

Before we leave, we share it.

You could call it a bike trip, or you could call it a week long pub crawl. The extra beer on the table was for Ken Miller, our good friend who last was with us in 2004, but who tragically was killed on his motorcycle shortly after our trip that year. A beer is poured for Ken at the first pub we visit.

In June I went cycling in the interior of BC with John Lowe, Ray Pauluk, and Paul Borthistle, her pictured as they pedaled along a road near Grand Forks. We went for a week and did day trips, rather than going linearly from one place to another and carrying all our gear on our bikes, as we hae done in past years. A very pleasant trip.

During June I blogged the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada. If you want to see what I wrote and the pictures I uploaded, go here. I decided not to put all this stuff in my personal blog. But now I'll resume it. (My personal blog, that is.)

Jack was in good form. He's 93, going on 94 this month (July 25). A few days later he had a fainting spell and went to the hospital for a while, but only stayed overnight. The Energizer Bunny I call him... takes a licking but keeps on ticking!

Supper on the porch at 1251 with Grandpa and Granny Kellett. Ros is asking questions and writing down something, but I've forgotten what.

Bug on a lead on one of our bushes. Ros didn't know what it was and wanted me to take a picture. Any ideas anyone?

A nice shot of Naomi, I thought, although it does look as if she's wondering why I'm taking yet another photograph.

Here we are on Canada Day, July 1, in a timed photo. The back yard was a bit of a mess due to a trench dug so that a power line could be laid to the garage where Russell plans to establish his art workshop. Naomi and Nick were over from Victoria for the bike ride and just to see us on the holiday weekend.

As usual in June, Bike Month, it wa a pretty big ride. Here we have crossed the Granville Street bridge and, looking back (north), cyclists are still coming across the bridge. There were 1800 or so, according to people who counted. We had a beautiful day. Annoyed some motorists, no doubt, but most were friendly. Russell had been quoted in a newspaper column on the topic.

Nick and Naomi were there too as well of course as Jane and Russell. I think Nick was trying to be a Roman Centurian or something, with a broom (plume?) on his head.

I haven't put a lot up lately on this blog because I was in Winnipeg at General Synod (see http://generalsynod.blogspot.com/). But Now I'm back here's some pictures of the end of June Critical Mass, which Ros and I attended. Here Ros is waiting in front of the Art Gallery for the ride to begin.

And the bush at our steps is nice too, although not as intense in its blooms. But I like the green and purple.

Russell's mother Ros wasn't quite sure what to make of the project. I liked it. I think my son is quite talented, though I'm not sure how the world is going to learn how to appreciate his talent.

And here's the small wheel with the large blanket. There were a few toy cars on the blanket which these kids (one a very old kid) decided to play with, which Russell approved of. He asked me to take the picture.

This described his art installations. He had two wooden bicycle wheels and two blankets.

On Saturday (May 5) we visited the Students' Art Show at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. Russell is finishing up at ECIAD, and this was his graduation art exhibit. Here he's posting (in the purple hat) with wife Jane.

She was too fast for us to catch up and take a picture at the finish but we found her in BC Place stadium. What an accomplishment! 42 km in about 4:10. Congratulations, daughter!

She was still quite fresh - doing better than she expected.
