And we visited the home of Ken and Sandi Melchin, her boyfriend Nick's parents. 

We went to the Cirque du Soleil, which was a lot of fun. Couldn't take picture inside. 

Then I took the train to Ottawa to visit Naomi.

We visited the Toronto Islands. Here's a picture of the city from the ferry to the islands. 

In early June I went to the Anglican Editors Assn. annual conference, this year in Toronto. Here we were meeting with the Primate, Archbishop Andrew Hutchison. 

Rosalind has taken some very pretty pictures of the flowers. 

The flowers have come out quite nicely at our place this summer.

Chris Kellett was in town from Calgary. 

Several there tried on Ros' Kanga boots. 

Ros, Jane, David, and Margery under the umbrella... it was a very nice evening. 

Margery and Jack came over for the barbeque, here with Sandra, Ros' cousin. 

Then went home for a party. 

A few days later we went to the Vaisaiki parade along Main Street.

Inside, it was great fun. Here Alix and Graham are racing in wheelchairs... virtually. It's a screen they're looking at.

Of course they had to go down the slide nearby. 

Irish relatives visited in April. Ros took Alix and Graham Rhodes from Dublin to Science World. 

And the buildings are still going up. There are four construction cranes in this view from the bridge. I sometimes think the downtown peninsula is getting so dense it will sink. But it makes for a very lively city, all these people living there.

View from Cambie Bridge of the east end of False Creek, with a water taxi coming toward us. This is the sight I see most mornings as I cycle to work across the bridge on the way the work. 

Hockey has ended for Ros for the season. Here's one of the last games. It is a beautiful field at Hamber School, with the North Shore mountains in the background. 

Grandpa Jack Kellett showed the regimental flags stored in a cabinet at the Cathedral to Naomi when she was in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago. These World War I and II battle flags used to hang in the sanctuary but they got old and fell apart and looked awful. they've been restored and make a nice display now.
